Received a Claim?

Here’s what you need to know

What is a claim?

If you upload a video that contains copyright-protected music, your video may get a Content ID claim. These claims are automatically generated when the YouTube Content ID system detects copyright-protected music in a video. If your video is claimed, the advertising revenue will go to the copyright owners of the claimed content, rather than being directed to the content creator. Your video can still remain uploaded to the YouTube service.

Are you an organization?

If you are an organization or a content creator posting sponsored content, then you'll need to request a Sync License. Please click below to find out more information.
If you have already purchased a Sync License and your video has been claimed, please email [email protected]
