Lava Hong

Lava Hong is a Golden Trailer Award and Clios Award-nominated Music Supervisor at Trailer Park, one of the largest agencies in LA specializing in trailers and promos. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Entertainment Industry Management program in 2021, with extensive training in audio production, music composition and performance, and music supervision. Lava is dedicated to promoting diverse music placements in both traditional and new mediums and is attuned to trends in the global music industry. She has been invited to Songwriter's Camp, Sync Con, What Up Pitches Panel, Sync Summit, and Durango Songwriter Expo, where she collaborates with up-and-coming indie artists. Lava has played a crucial role in many large IPs and theatrical and TV campaigns, working with major studios and networks to facilitate music and sound effect placements. Some of her recent campaign involvement includes Wicked, Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy, Three Body Problem, Oppenheimer, Dr. Strange, Jurassic World, Sing 2, and etc. --- In addition to her role as a music supervisor, Lava is a versatile singer-songwriter, vocalist, and composer with over 1M global streams and known for her captivating storytelling abilities and warm cinematic vocal works in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Her work earned her a nomination in the Golden Trailer Award 2024. Specializing in the indie/alternative/EDM pop scene, Lava has carved out a unique niche, gaining recognition for her music featured in trailers, films, and TV sync opportunities. Since 2015, she has been captivating audiences with her live performances, showcasing her dynamic stage presence and emotive vocal delivery.
