Jodie Knight
Jodie Knight is a songwriter, vocalist and producer from Glasgow, Scotland. From her acoustic performance opening for Rick Astley on his 2018 tour, to writing huge dance tracks played at Creamfields, her writing style spans across many genres.
Jodie is fast building her catalogue of songs, with releases on labels such as Ultra Records, Mixmash Records, Circus Recordings & Size Records. In 2021 she graduated from Sir Paul McCartney’s performing arts university LIPA, with a first class honours degree in songwriting & production and has since been constantly writing music and performing in venues around the UK.
She has been greatly supported by Jaguar on her ‘BBC Introducing Dance’ show, and has also had many spins on BBC Introducing Scotland and Kiss FM.
With multiple dance collaborations ongoing with the likes of Marsh, Ben Malone & Lonely in the Rain, Jodie continues to also write and produce for her own project, a more pop / acoustic vibe. Working with producers and other writers worldwide, both via zoom and in person, the past year or so she has built up connections with creatives that span across the globe.
“Jodie Knight is an expert at whether it’s her own sad girl kind of pop, or whether she’s supplying a vocal feature on a huge, huge dance banger. She has proven time and time again how versatile her voice is and I reckon in a couple of years time she’s going to be one of BBC Introducing’s major new success stories.” - Phoebe & Shereen, BBC Introducing Scotland.
