AC Slater
AC Slater has been at the forefront of the Bass House scene for over a decade –in great part responsible for its inception as a sub-culture though his own artist project as well as his label Night Bass which to this day, continues to pioneer the genre, releasing some of the scene’s most enduring and genre-defining records.
A consistent output of cutting-edge bass house music has entertained a never-growing community of fans around the world, encouraging dominance over the US live sector as well. 2023 is the year of Together for AC Slater. The aptly titled album came out on Night Bass in June, and the 10-date tour with the same name kicked off at the beginning of July. Following in the footsteps of his two previous full-length albums, album number three features guest vocalists and previous collaborators including Kaleena Zanders, Murkage Dave and Chris Lorenzo, alongside a bunch of new faces and former Night Bass freshmen. The core theme of Together is inherent, and is an ode to the family of artists that AC Slater has worked with from the inception of the project, to the newer ones he’s selected to be a part of the next generation.
2022 kick started with a sold-out North America Tour alongside the prolific Tchami. The two label heads brought Confession VS Night Bass to 10 cities and over 40,000 fans. To accompany the mammoth run, they released a 10-track compilation album for good measure, featuring BIJOU, ShiftK3Y, Blossom and more, as well as their collaboration Only One with UK vocalist Kate Wild.
AC’s underground anthem with Chris Lorenzo “Fly With Us”, released on Night Bass in 2021, has evolved into a unique event series concept. The pair debuted the project with a legendary back-to-back closing the Main Stage at EDC Vegas with 100k ravers in 2022.
Following this success, they built on this synergy even further, taking over the iconic Shrine Expo Hall in LA, selling out the venue well in advance to their performance in November 2022. With demand for the live project increasing, the pair have returned to the drawing board to further develop the concept in 2023. Playing iconic festivals and venues such as Coachella, Red Rocks, EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza, AC also boasts several international headline tours and major festivals across Australia and New Zealand, Asia and Europe- allowing him to push his sound globally. With Night Bass celebrating its ninth year, fans and the wider electronic community can expect AC Slater to continue his output of legacy making bass-heavy dance music that ignites the underground.
